This is the first-ever Port of Olympia drive-in movie experience. That said, we will try our best to deliver the best viewing experience to as many vehicles as we can while complying with the Phase II guidance for drive-in theaters (currently 10 ft between vehicles). To provide optimum viewing for all movie goers, assigned parking will be used based on vehicle information provided on the reservation form. Movie goers will listen to the movie sound system by tuning into a radio frequency in your car (frequency to be provided at the start of the movie). If you will be watching the movie from the bed of a pickup truck, be sure to have a radio available. Dress in layers or pack a blanket, it gets chilly at the waterfront at night.
The drive-in movies will be held at Swantown Marina's boat trailer parking lot at NorthPoint on Marine Drive. THERE WILL BE NO WALK IN VIEWING & BOATER VIEWING IS LIKELY UNAVAILABLE OR EXTREMELY LIMITED
Food & Concessions
Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase from Batdorf and Bronson Coffee and The Washington Center for the Performing Arts.
Public Health Modifications:
This is a unique year for events. The Port of Olympia is committed to remaining nimble and will quickly make adjustments as necessary if further guidance is provided by State and County health officials as it relates to Drive-ins. At this time, the requirement is that movie goers remain in their vehicle unless needing to access the restroom or concessions, and if/when they do leave their vehicle, the guidance is requiring that a mask be worn. If anything changes, we will update that here. Thank you for your understanding.
In the event a movie night needs to be cancelled due to rain or inclement weather, technical difficulty, etc. a cancellation e-mail will be sent to all registered attendees and a notice will be posted on the Port of Olympia’s website, Facebook and Twitter.
A huge Thank You goes to our event partners, City of Olympia, KGY Radio, and Puget Sound Entertainment.
